Guitarist Murat Usanmaz has prepared a repertory for Gitarcafe: From Bach to Paco, from Classical to Flamenco. On March 8, we will be with Babil, a group playing ‘music from all over the world’. French violinist E. Hussein During will be the guest of Gitarcafe with Trio Tzané from Paris, singing polifonic Bulgarian, Macedonian, Anatolian songs. If you know or would like to learn about Azerbaijani mugam tradition, proclaimed by UNESCO as a Masterpiece of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2003, don’t miss Azertürk Mugam Trio. Musicians from Azerbaidjan will stop to play in Gitarcafe, on their way to Izmir festival. Ilknur Yakupoglu will sing authentic songs from the Blacksea region, with her kemenche. The other ‘Blacksea concert’ of the month is from the group Helesa. Before the concert, there is a documentary about the nut collectors directed by Metin Avdaç: ‘Çotanak Yolunda’. The last guest in the March program is a new and very succesful women group: Piazzolla Project..
At Gitarcafe, you should keep in mind that during the concerts you don’t smoke; there is strong possibility to listen some special guests out of the program. And please don’t forget to make reservation.
